
As 2025 comes to an end, we take this opportunity to reflect on the remarkable achievements of our UCL School of Management students and alumni. Selecting only ten highlights was no easy task, but we are proud to share some of the moments that truly stood out this year.
2 alumnae named in forbes’ 30-under-30
In April, MSc Entrepreneurship alumna Kiki Wöhl was named in the Forbes 30-under-30 2025 Social Impact category, while BSc Information Management for Business (IMB) alumna Dolapo Morgan featured in the Finance category.
Kiki co-founded DECAID Academy, a German EdTech platform that has taken the industry by storm through its use of generative AI. Additionally, Dolapo has become a trailblazer in her field and is the youngest leadership member at Ventures Platform Fund, a pan-African venture capital firm. To date, she has led more than $15 million in investment across 21 start-ups.
UCL teams SHINE at tcs sustainathon 2025
The annual TCS Sustainathon is a leading competition that challenges participants to tackle real-world sustainability issues using technology. The event provides a platform for young innovators to collaborate with private companies, non-profit organisations, and government agencies.
This year, the winning team represented UCL’s Department of Political Science and School of Public Policy, while the runner-up team consisted of BSc/MSci Management Science students from UCL School of Management. With top universities from across the UK competing, this achievement highlights UCL’s strength in driving impactful, sustainable solutions.
ucl flex mba goes global
In November, UCL School of Management took the UCL MBA global for the first-ever international immersion event in Beijing, China, marking a significant milestone for the programme. Students and alumni from across the world joined Programme Director Professor Harveen Chugh and Postgraduate Administrator Andrew King for a week of learning, cultural exploration and networking.
Harveen said, “it was an amazing milestone for our programme. The MBA Immersions are a crucial touchpoint for our MBA students and alumni to build strong connections with each other.”
startup born at ucl school of management raises $2.7m
MSc Entrepreneneurship alumna Ina Jovicic and UCL Engineering alumni Gaelic Jara Reinhold and Alex Chalakov successfully raised $2.7 million in funding earlier this year for their start-up, eNOugh. The funding marks a significant milestone in their mission to transform personal safety through cutting-edge technology.
Founded in 2022, eNOugh is developing the eNO badge, an AI-powered wearable designed to act as a personal safety companion. The badge uses advanced threat detection to autonomously recognise danger, activate protective features, and live-stream evidence to the police, eliminating the need for manual activation or human reaction. This innovation aims to introduce a new culture of safety and make protection accessible to everyone.
Welcoming 50 International Students for IEGC
In the Summer of 2025, the UCL School of Management welcomed 50 international students from a number of partner institutions, including Copenhagen Business School, Singapore Management University, Ewha School of Business, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, KU Leuven, HSUHK and Tsinghua University, to London for the two-week Innovation Ecosystems for Grand Challenges (IEGC) programme.

Organised by our Global Engagement team, the visit saw students develop a deeper understanding of the business landscape in the UAE to enhance their understanding of the benefits and challenges of working and operating within the country.
imb student wins faculty scholarship for excellence
Earlier this year, UCL School of Management student Aarnav Agarwal was selected for the UCL Faculty Undergraduate Scholarship for Excellence for 2025/26, following outstanding academic achievement supported by strong endorsements from the School faculty, including BSc Information Management for Business Programme Director Edyta Kostanek and SoM Director of Undergraduate Studies Maya Cara.
The UCL Faculty Undergraduate Scholarship for Excellence is given to current UCL students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, and aims to promote and reward student excellence. The award recognises individuals who consistently strive for success in their programme and show clear potential for future success.
sleeping pod startup raises $600,000
During their time at UCL, BSc Information Management for Business student (now alumnus) Jake Osorio and Bachelor of Laws alumnus Jake Ramus founded Snuze, a network of tech-enhanced sleep pods designed for on-demand naps and short stays. Launching officially in October of this year, the entrepreneurial duo recently announced a significant milestone for the company: £600,000 in pre-seed funding to develop and grow Snuze.
Snuze received the funding from a group of sophisticated angel investors and a private equity firm, with the co-founders planning to use the funding for the completion of a sleep pod prototype, deployment of pods across London, and on digital marketing strategies designed to drive the launch and growth of the startup.
MSC entrepreneurship trek to milan
May saw students from UCL School of Management’s MSc Entrepreneurship programme, along with Programme Director Simon Hulme, headed to Milan for the annual Trek. Throughout their 5-day visit, students visited a number of internationally renowned organisations based in Italy, including The Walt Disney Company and Ferrari, while also developing their understanding of local Italian businesses through visits to LaCimbali, Ykone Milan and Parmigiano Reggiano.
In addition to its reputation for high-end fashion, Milan is the centre of business in Italy. With more than 51% of the country’s publishing firms based in the city, it finds itself home to a number of the country’s startups and offers an experimental space for organisations in health, sustainability and social innovation. The city has 90 museums, more than 190 art galleries, 107 cinema screens and 11 universities and academies, providing a rich and historical location for this year’s trek.
PhD Candidate Named POMS Finalist
PhD candidate Deepanshi Bhardwaj has been named as a finalist in the 2025 Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) Product Innovation & Technology Management (PITM) Best Student Paper competition.
Titled “New Technology Adoption and Peer Effects among Service Workers: Evidence from Aadhaar Enabled Payment System”, the paper was co-authored with her PhD supervisor and UCL School of Management Professor Bilal Gokpinar and Ashwini Chhatre from the Indian School of Business.
