Description

As part of UCL’s ongoing commitment to empowering diverse voices in business, the UCL School of Management is proud to host ElevateHer 2025: Women in Entrepreneurship Day - Shattering the Glass Ceiling, aligning with the global celebration of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day. Taking place on Level 49 of One Canada Square in Canary Wharf, the event will bring together students, entrepreneurs, and advocates for gender equality to celebrate women’s leadership and innovation in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The conversation will be moderated by Tessa Beishuizen, MSc Entrepreneurship alumna (2024–25) and we have an incredible lineup of panelists:

- Anastasia Mirolyubova, Founder of Immigram and MSc Entrepreneurship alumna

- Rachael Twumasi-Corson, Founder Ayaa Botanicals and Afrocenchix (successful exit); Vice-Chair of British Mensa; UCL alumna

- Fiona Hudson-Kelly, Angel Investor and Founder of Silver Linings Solutions Limited (successful exit)

- Sayaka Wakita, Senior Capital Growth & Investments Manager at Unrest; former principal ballerina (Gold Medalist at Berlin Dance Olympics and Tokyo Ballet Competition) and Harvard alumna

The discussion will examine how the panellists are successfully navigating the entrepreneurial landscape through breaking funding barriers, challenging investor bias, leading authentically, leveraging AI to overcome bias, and harnessing mentorship to achieve sustainable success.

The event will conclude with a networking session, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with peers, speakers, and members of the wider entrepreneurial community.

Our annual Women in Entrepreneurship Day reflects the UCL School of Management’s commitment to promoting diversity and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups in entrepreneurship. By showcasing the accomplishments of women entrepreneurs and exploring pathways to overcome systemic challenges, ElevateHer events continue to inspire the next generation of women entrepreneurs.
