The UCL School of Management's Postgraduate Careers Team recently hosted ‘Inside Tech - Roundtable Chats with Industry Professionals,’ an exclusive networking and insight‑sharing event designed for PGT students interested in exploring careers at leading technology companies. 

On the day, we welcomed Ellis Gooden, Generative AI Data Scientist at Amazon Web Services, Laura Kathleen Clarke, Commercial & Customer Lead (UKI Channels & Offerings) at Salesforce, Liana Mikaelyan, Senior Deep Learning Solutions Architect at NVIDIA, Mariam Sharangia, Program Manager at Meta, Nick Turner, Principal Consultant (Healthtech Pre‑Sales) at Oracle, Rebecca Davies, Account Executive (Financial Services, Health & Life Sciences) at Salesforce, Saif Hussain, Strategy & Finance Lead at Google, Selin Yanyali, Financial Technology Partnerships Manager at Amazon Web Services.

Together, they led small-group discussions on their career journeys, the realities of working in tech, and current developments shaping the sector. Students rotated across three discussion rounds, allowing them to hear multiple perspectives before moving into an open networking session.

The students expressed their gratitude, noting the valuable insights and confidence they gained from the event, and were inspired by hearing how the speakers progressed from students to leaders in their fields.
